Named after Rovinj in Istria, a town surrounded by the Adriatic sea with annual 999 hours of sunshine, the Rovinj cream contains a powerful ingredient known as immortelle oil. We stumbled upon the oil while visiting Croatia one Summer many years ago. While strolling around an evening market after dinner, we noticed two elderly women selling homemade oils, their skin was just fantastic, full of glow and health! Being obsessed with skin care, we obviously had to know what it was.
The immortelle flower is also known as Helichrysum from the Greek words helios, which means sun and chrysos, which means gold. Packed with antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial and anti-allergenic properties, this flower is a superhero for your skin. It is a powerful anti-ager as it helps reduce fine lines and wrinkles, while also giving you that glow you’ve been dreaming of since it helps restore sun damage, clear scars and spots and evens out the skin tone.
Hydrate and heal
Fig fruit extract has been shown to help dry skin as it prevents water loss – so your skin will stay hydrated longer at the same time as it can reduce the depth of wrinkles. It also naturally contains vitamin C, which means it’s full of antioxidants and can heal damage from free radicals. Fig extract is also antimicrobial and can help acne-prone skin heal as well.
The sweet, floral scent of lavender will not only send you into a harmonious sleep, it will also work to protect your skin from environmental stressors and help keep it clear and calm.
